Job description
As our Tee Developer, joining NIKE's PCC (Product Creation Center) community you will help create, and enable the commercialization of highly crafted graphic driven garments through partnerships with Design, Product Management, Product Integrity, Sourcing, and Liaison Office/Manufacturing partners. This is achieved by obsessing over the craft of the tee from fabric, fit, wash, color, and construction. As a leader of operational excellence you will drive a disciplined, accurate, and accountable Game Plan process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage assigned style count from Brief to Buy Ready according to critical dates, product specifications including silhouette and graphic elements, sustainability, and performance.
• Monitor and communicate progress and challenges throughout the production creation process with your PCC Development Manager
• Help lead seasonal graphic/style review meetings, communicating fit, and graphic elements with your PCC Development Manager.
• Guide and educate Design and Merchant partners on achievable graphic techniques from a margin and profitability perspective, as well as a factory capability standpoint.
• Work with your print specialists to gain perspective on print techniques and cost.
• Maintain developer tools and issue logs so that sample status is up to date.
• Understand all the key dates during product development. Update gates and dates chart weekly to drive accountability in the product creation and Game Plan process.
Desired profile
• Bachelor's degree in apparel/textile design, textile engineering, technology, merchandising or a related field
• 2 years' additional apparel industry product creation experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• At least 3 years of work experience in the apparel industry, preferably within graphics/embellishment
• Knowledge of embellishments (especially prints & embroideries), textiles, garment & embellishment costing, project management and product creation process
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong information seeking skills and drive for results
• Strong organization skills, time management, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with a diverse group of people
