Plastic Machine Operator - Nike Air MI

Job description

As our Plastic Machine Operator at Nike Air MI, you'll set up, operate and adjust the plastic manufacturing machines and auxiliary equipment. You'll fill out the required documentation. You'll also disassemble, clean and reassemble the loading system, tooling, molds and other necessary auxiliary equipment and fine-tune process parameters until parts are within specification and cycle times. In addition, this opportunity also involves continuously monitoring operating conditions and inspecting finished parts.

Desired profile

Requirements for the position include:

·  High School diploma or GED
·  Ability to pass a 7 year background investigation and drug screen
·  Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
·  2 years experience within manufacturing or related environment
·  Previous machine set-up and troubleshooting skills preferred
·  Able to lift up to 45 pounds
·  Knowledge of basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
·  Able to utilize torque wrenches and various other hand tools while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
·  Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more
·  Able to identify and distinguish product clarity and apparent defects while monitoring the product process
·  Ability to work the designated shift for this position
