Europe Merchandising Operations is a partner for all different functions that are leading the seasonal Category Game Plan process from a category, territory and or Geo point of view. Merchandising operations leads process innovation and drives calendar cadence within the merchandising community. This role is specifically focused on driving data accuracy, efficiencies in product data management and sample processes. Joining our team as a Merchandising Information Specialist, reporting to the Merchandising Operations Manager, you will integrate with the category merchandising function with focus on operational tasks enabling the team to execute line planning, set consumer right pricing and build market wide consumer right assortments.
Responsibilities:
Product data management:
• Execute and maintain merchandising and product information in MMX (merchandising data base). Drive data validation to ensure data accuracy at any given time. Ensure consistent and accurate tools of record for line planning, pricing, forecasting and assortment visualization.
• Represent the merchandising team during development and implementation of new solutions.
• Provide regular analysis reports to the category merchandising team to enable line planning, assortment creation.
• Support and provide information flow from Merchandising systems to Sales, Brand, Merchandising Finance, Retail, Demand Planning and Inventory Management systems.
Operational Process Excellence:
• Lead the communication mapping and training of process to merchandising teams ( Cat merchandising and MP merchandising) and support the evolution of process for line planning, forecasting, pricing, assortment creation and sample ordering, delivery.
• Coordinate the calendar of Game Plan deliverables for category team and drive adherence to deadlines.
• Serve as the Subject Mater Expert for all Merchandising related systems and tools. Be able to train all end-users on current/future functionalities and enhancements
Desired profile
• Education: bachelor degree, in business or related studies.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in merchandising or related fields.
• Process management skills & experience. Prior participation in project teams preferred.
• Product affinity/industry knowledge.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to validate data and communicate to a broader audience.
• Extensive Excel knowledge, including data manipulation, pivot tables and functions/formulas. Must be comfortable working in Excel on a regular basis and using as a tool to deliver easy-to-use reports to our business partners
• Language: Fluent English. Both written and spoken. Other languages preferred
• Hands on mentality and pro-active mind set.
