As our Tooling Group Material Handler/Shop Helper, you'll provide inventory counts, material preparation, receiving, scrap removal, recycling, material handling and forklift operation services for the Tooling Group. You'll request re-supply stock material, and confirm orders in an integrated computer system in order to maintain inventory and prepare job materials. You'll also receive and verify incoming loads against packing slip, resolve discrepancies and deliver to the appropriate areas. You'll remove raw materials scrapped from the shop, prepare material for shipment, fill out packing list and email copies to recipients. This opportunity also involves supplying the Tooling Group with common components and supplies and tracking inventory on-hand. In addition, you'll recycle metal, machining chips, and waste fluids, banding and shrink-wrap and maintain clean inventory racks.

Desired profile

· High School diploma or GED
· 1 year of material handling experience within a manufacturing, warehouse or equivalent environment
· Experience operating a forklift
· Ability to work overtime as needed
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Ability to bend and stand during entire shift
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Ability to communicate clearly in order to work with vendors, internal staff and peers
· Good basic reading and writing skills
· Demonstrated attention to detail skill
· Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and technical drawings for dimensions and material type
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Ability and knowledge to operate shop cutting equipment preferred
· Experience with Google Sheets preferred
