Job description
As our Maintenance Technician II, you'll perform maintenance on production equipment, buildings and facilities. You'll perform a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic repair and fabrication operations, including performance of scheduled, breakdown, and preventive maintenance. You will participate in continuous improvement events and participate in projects involving fabricating changes to existing equipment as well as fabricating new equipment. You'll also assist in building, installing, troubleshooting and starting up equipment; install, identify, correct and maintenance production and facility equipment and machinery through the use of troubleshooting skills, blueprints/schematics and manufacturer's specifications; and install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and electronic controls. This opportunity also involves providing limited maintenance to the building and associated facilities, including plumbing, lighting and structure. In addition, you'll diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, disassemble, repair, reassemble, test and adjust production and building equipment. You will be a key member of the support team to ensure manufacturing success as measured by Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) factors.
Desired profile
· High School diploma or GED
· 2 years' work experience in electro-mechanical equipment repairs or equivalent
· Enrolled in a 2 year Technical/Vocational Electrical/Mechanical school or
· Possession of a Technical/Vocational school degree or a post high school education with electronic experience from military training viewed as a plus
· Ability to walk and stand to accomplish tasks; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, push, pull, grasp, hear and reach; lift objects up to 50 lbs; and work at heights of up to 35 to 50 feet.
· Experience reading schematic diagrams, blueprints, mechanical drawings
· Experience with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatic & electronics issues
· Electrical experience in working with 3 phase power up to 480 volts a plus
· Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
· Experience with Injection Molding, Thermoforming or Extrusion machinery a plus
· Experience using SAP Maintenance module, a plus
· Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) welding equipment and Programmable Logic Controls (PLC), a plus
· Knowledge and practice of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) factors, and an understanding of the basics of LEAN manufacturing, a plus
· Experience with fabrication, must have experience using milling machines, lathes, wire feed and tig-welding experience, a plus
