Our Retail Inventory Analyst is responsible for applying business acumen and influence skills to drive a retailer with 200+ stores across multiple concepts. Our analyst is focused on financial planning through the inventory management lens in support of the revenue and margin planning processes. Timely and insightful analysis of inventory KPIs and metrics in partnership with supply chain, store operations and merchandising teammates will drive performance and improve operational excellence in our business. You will also participate in business planning (3 year planning, budget, Gross to Net analytics), develop policies and processes, and advise on general financial matters.
Desired profile
Requirements for the position include:
· Bachelor's degree, Finance or Accounting
· 3-5 years' experience in public accounting, accounting and/or financial planning required
· 2 years relevant experience with a Fortune 500/multi-national company preferred
· Retail experience greatly preferred, especially with multi-channel retailer
· Core inventory knowledge of accounting, financial planning, KPI/metrics
· Advanced data skills in Excel and Access and in presentation/story-telling tools (PowerPoint, Tableau, other)
· SAP experience is preferred
· Strong information seeking and influence skills to make things happen
· Ability to understand challenges, share ideas, offer solutions and elevate to higher management
· Ability to network with internal resources and benchmark external practices
· Demonstrated leadership in motivating colleagues, building team spirit, and bringing energy to the organization
