12 Month Fixed Contract from July 2017 – July 2018
Paid Vacancy (£13,000 gross p.a.)
Sunderland-Based (Doxford)

The internship is for candidates that are on their placement year in University/or they have a year in industry as part of their course.

MISSION
Based in the Nike UK Sunderland office you will work as part of the UK/Ireland HR team performing a wide variety of HR tasks. You will gain broad HR generalist experience as well getting involved in some HR project work. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates wanting to persue a career in HR by gaining maximum exposure to the key areas of Human Resources at Nike.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Support:

· Answering general HR enquiries
· Administrative Support- Carrying out generalist HR tasks including but not limited to contract audits, filing, referencing and managing invoices
· Coordination of training programs- liaising with training facilitators, organising attendee lists, sending out invites and update training records.
· Preparing and updating the UK training calendar and managing the training budget
· Recruitment administration and coordination/CV screening
· Coordination and organisation of induction programs
· HR analysis, producing and analysing quarterly statistics
· Annual appraisal, collation/analysis of performance ratings HR Project work:

· Talent Acquisition - Managing the Intern Recruitment program
· Talent Development- Planning and organising employee training opportunities
· Employee Engagement- Supporting with the annual employee engagement survey, analysis of results and associated employee engagement initiatives
· Employee Relations- Supporting ER manager with note taking in disciplinary meetings and investigations
· Retail store openings – assist with assessment centres

Desired profile

·  Ideally studying towards a HR Management degree or with a desire to specialize in HR
·  Good commercial awareness
·  Proven track record of success throughout Education to date
·  Strong administration skills able to prioritise multiple tasks with an eye for detail.
·  Strong inter-personal skills with excellent verbal and written communication
·  Professional and hard-working but with an ability to do so whilst fitting into the Nike “relaxed”/friendly culture
·  Technical skills – strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
·  Strong organisational and planning skills
·  A team player with the ability to form sound relationships with both external and internal contacts
·  Self-starter & ability to work independently
·  Integrity, able to work in confidential environment handling sensitive information HOW TO APPLY
