Engineer, Continuous Delivery - Next Generation Platforms - Nike Technology

As an Engineer, Continuous Delivery, you will:

· Contribute to designing and building Continuous Delivery automated pipelines for APIs, web and mobile apps as well as integration and data/analytics solutions used by Nike teams
· Ensure solutions are designed and developed using a scalable, highly resilient cloud native architecture
· Participate in the design and building of a fully automated self-service platform in AWS based on CDN, API Gateway, Docker and Serverless, but that could also work in a hybrid cloud environment
· Ensure product and technical features are delivered to spec and on-time
· Develop of tools and frameworks to improve security, reliability, maintainability, availability and performance for the technology foundation of our platform
· Collaborate with other Nike teams to help promote the PaaS/SOA/API charter across Nike
· Explain designs and constraints to stakeholders and technical teams

Desired profile

·  Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or a related field
·  3 years' experience in devops automation for cloud-based enterprise systems, specifically AWS
·  3 years heavy use and extending of existing PaaS in the cloud or 2 years of designing/building your own PaaS
·  2 years additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree
·  2 years experience in Python (other languages like Java, Scala, Groovy, Ruby, Go, Javascript are a bonus)
·  1 year experience in using immutable image pattern for Continuous Delivery pipelines
·  1 year experience in using Docker or other container technologies
·  1 year experience in using Cloud Formation/CLI for AWS automation
·  1 year experience in using configuration management tools (Ansible or Salt is preferred)
·  1 year experience in automating blue/green and canary style deployment pipelines
·  Experience with participating in projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
·  Expertise in test driven development
·  Expertise in hierarchical and distributed code repository management tools like GIT
·  Demonstrated negotiation and communication skills
