Converse Data Analyst Intern

Job description

The Data Analyst Internship is a 12 month placement starting from July 2016.
This role reports into the Business Manager and provides critical business information in relation to Sales data. It will help in consolidating and analysing sell in vs sell thru information for Converse as well as well as looking into data architecture and how to best utilize it make informed decisions.

· Reporting – maintain and deliver regular reporting that evolves to remain aligned with business requirements, specifically with respect to the account and/or category focus
· Forecasting – co-ordinate all national and account level forecasting
· Service Delivery – drive formalised service delivery model into the Sales management team, specifically to include pro-active isolation of issues and/or opportunities
· Data Certification –embed quality assurance into all data processes downstream of data warehouse. Drive data certification and standardisation into all analysis.
· Record Maintenance – ensure customer master records and related information are up to date

Desired profile

· This role is only open to students as part of an undergraduate university placement year
· The role would suit a commercially aware, business focused candidate with exposure to IT and system skills.
· Basic Excel skills are required with a passion for information analysis.
· Attention to detail
· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business, building strong relationships with internal business partners in Sales, Merchandising and Finance
· Ability to multitask and display sound logic/problem solving capabilities
· Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
