Colorist

Job description

As a colorist at Nike you will be responsible for all color development and approval aspects and performance of vendors, including, but not limited to;

·timely labdip submits, ensuring
·all submits meet specified NIKE quality specs
·submit process is in accordance to current procedures

You will initiate the building and maintaining of professional relationships with vendors, including regular vendor visits while reviewing and discussing color development. During this time you will work in conjunction with the vendor to resolve any problems with color.

Heavy duties that include: issuing requests, reviewing labdips and keeping all tracking tools accurate and updated within given seasonal time-lines, including but

not limited to, issuing color standards, issuing labdip request letters, reviewing labdip submits, maintaining accurate PPS color records and maintaining

local approval history files.

You will provide color approval support within Liaison Office structure, may include areas such as; color approval for all-over print colors, embroidery colors, spot print colors and first production cut color approval.

Responsible to monitor seasonal vendor performance such as, but not limited to, timeliness of submits, adherence to specs on submits and number of resubmits required for each labdip request and help to implement corrective actions.

Support material integrity initiatives and ensure all specified quality standards are met.

Works with product integrity in solving colorfastness as well as color integrity reproduction in manufacturing.

Desired profile

·Bachelor"s Degree, Textiles or Design preferred
·Ability to pass Munsell test
·Solid communicator
·Ability to multitask and meet critical deadlines
·Experience working with 3rd party vendors
·Experience with labdips, meeting quality specifications, color approval, maintaining PPS color records and colorfastness.
