London or Field Based (2-3 days a week needed in Shirebrook)

Nike is looking for an experienced Business Planner to collaborate with the account team, with Sports Direct and key internal stakeholders to develop and manage the top-line financial plan. To inform the Strategic Plan for the Sports Direct account and proactively manage and measure the business to ensure mutual profitability.

Responsibilities will include:

· Implement a World Class Stock and Sales Plan to drive action while effectively managing the business
· Long Range Process and Plans based on market place capacity that drives a gross to net 3 Year rolling plan.
· Develop Futures Forecasting process/tool that works both as a place where forecasts can be reviewed but also submitted to the wider business.
· Work with the Business manager and the Account Director to effectively plan the SDI Net to Gross planning across all the Banners
· Produce insightful Sell thru analysis through weekly trading reports, seasonal teardowns, stock and sales plan, that allow the team to make informed decisions
· Influence account through building compelling “fact based” arguments on growth plans, market opportunities, flow plans etc.
· Leverage planning enterprise wide. Influence the internal business (S&OP process) to ensure that the account team has what it needs to fulfil the strategic goals
· Market research – Create and analyse market research that will allow us to influence the account.
· Strategy Development – develop and support strategic planning process working as the lead partner for Account Director

Desired profile

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Fashion, Marketing or a related field
· 6+ years' experience in Buying, Planning, Allocation and/or Vendor Sales for a multi-store retailer
· Comprehensive understanding of retail math
· Experience in gross margin profitability planning
· Ability to create monthly reports, top line sales plans, track promotional calendar/events and pre-meeting prep
· Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail trends; knowledge of sports apparel and footwear market preferred
· Ability to interpret financial sales data to make decisions and recommendations that impact the business
· Advanced knowledge of MS office applications and proficiency in Excel including creating spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables,
· Experience with planning software/tools and merchandise management systems is preferred
