Assistant Buyer

Job description

As our Assistant Buyer, you'll provide general administrative support to the Merchandising, Planning and Allocation teams. You'll perform all merchandise related data entry such as price changes, markdowns, order entry, product set-up, etc. You'll compile and distribute reports on sales, inventory, and orders as assigned. You'll track markdowns and price changes and ensure they are entered into the system in a timely manner. You'll respond to store requests for product information, UPC lookup, price changes, etc. You'll maintain files and documentation such as product grids and buy/assortment spreadsheets. In addition, you'll coordinate all aspects of purchase order management, including vendor setup, item coding and PO entry, PO revisions, and bulk management.

Desired profile

·  Bachelor's degree in a related field
·  3 years' experience in retail, order entry and administrative support
·  Strong intermediate proficiency with MS Excel and Outlook
·  Ability to work under extremely tight timelines with data entry accuracy
·  Strong communication skills and ability to clarify or resolve discrepancies
·  Experience in a buying office is preferred
