Android Engineer

Job description

Nike's Consumer Digital Engineering team is seeking an Android Engineer for our Nike Training Club app to join us in creating premium native experiences for our consumers. In this role, you will play a central role in delivering well designed, highly testable, and resilient applications. You'll will also be instrumental in driving our mobile technology road map forward and evangelizing mobile development and testing practices. The successful candidate is both deeply experienced with Android development and a team player that thrives in a collaborative agile environment.

Desired profile

• 2+ years designing and implementing Android applications in Java
• 3+ years programming in any of: Java, C/C++, Ruby, Python
• Solid working knowledge of the Java language
• Experience working with JSON via RESTful interfaces
• Keep up with latest Android technologies
• Demonstrated mastery of basic computer science algorithms and data structures
• TDD and BDD experience
• Solid working knowledge of the Android SDK including standard Java libraries
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Localization expertise a plus
