The role of Retailer Vertical Executive within Retailer Vertical owns and safeguards the client relationship
with our retailers, while providing insights that help to drive their business.
The role is responsible for:
Working with the manager to own full client servicing of assigned retailers, including generating
reports, producing insights and analysis with presentation to the client, including C-Suite clients.
Coordinating ongoing studies including consumer insights studies (qualitative and quantitative), pricing
and assortment studies, etc,
Understand the business of the retailer, be it category or the entire chain as a whole
Ensure the quality of the data
Contribute insights and improvement on processes.
Write clear and compelling presentation materials that focus on the clients' business issues and
confidently deliver business presentations.
Develop new methods to analyse and look at the data to arrive at new actionable insights.
Identify potential upsell opportunities based on client discussions and needs to support business
development.
Spot opportunities for improvements in both client servicing and internal processes in the team.
Learn and apply Nielsen proprietary in-house analytics software.
Qualifications
At least a Bachelor's Degree, in any discipline.
No experience required but executives with 1 or 2 years of experience would be desirable.
Strong client-focus and proactive.
Self starter, able to work independently.
Keen interest in the retail and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
Clear communication skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.
Knowledge of statistics and analytics is key
Technically proficient in MS Office applications.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, etc. would be an advantage but not required
