On the client consulting team you will work directly with major retail players and use Nielsen solutions to help answer questions such as what product is trending, who is buying and how to optimize price/assortment. As a Business Analyst you will:

·  Work closely with your manager and leverage data to tackle our client's business problems
·  Ensure timely delivery of insights and solutions that are relevant and actionable
·  Assist in the maintenance and analysis of ongoing metrics, dashboards and KPIs
·  Surface insights through polished visualizations to help guide business decision-making
·  Maintain an organized workflow and actively contribute to team knowledge base
·  Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data quality throughout all stages of projects
·  Represent Nielsen by demonstrating thought leadership and delivering value to our clients

Background and Technical Skills

·  Proficiency in at least one scripting/statistical language (R or Python preferred)
·  Intermediate SQL knowledge (window functions, using WITH statements, performance tuning, etc.)
·  Familiarity with Jupyter Notebooks a plus
·  Experience in BI tools such as Nielsen, Looker or Tableau
·  Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Business or related quantitative field
·  Retail, CPG or eCommerce work experience is a plus

·  Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
·  Strong oral and written communication, organization & client service skills
·  Scrappiness and independent troubleshooting ability
·  Able to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
·  Basic project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
·  Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes
