Who are we?

NH Atlantic in The Hague is based on a beautiful location on the beach of ‘Kijkduin’. The hotel is based 20 minutes of the city center of The Hague. This 4* hotel has 152 various and modern designed rooms. Some of the rooms can enjoy a beautiful sea and beach view. NH Atlantic The Hague features a restaurant and a bar, where guests can enjoy the beautiful view over Hollands most beautiful beaches. Besides that, the hotel has a recently opened Beach Club. Altantic beach club has a trendy concept, where guests can enjoy the best drinks, music and events.

What are you going to do?

The Sous Chef is involved in both culinary and managerial aspects. She/he is required to make the working schedules, organise and delegate the work in the kitchen so that it functions as a well-oiled machine, and to ensure the production of high quality dishes which are in line with the established menu’s and quality standards of the Collection brand. The Sous Chef ensures that the hygiene and food safety standards are met at all stages of the food preparation from the raw ingredients to the finished dish, and makes sure that all professional equipment remains in good condition. The Sous Chef is responsible for the entire kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Sous Chef.

Requisitos

The ideal candidate:

• Has in-depth knowledge and skills of all kitchen operations
• Has strong leadership, communication, organisation and planning skills
• Has an intrinsic desire to exceed guest expectations and is able to motivate others to do so as well
• Has a diploma in food production (MBO 4) and has at least 1 year of experience as a sous chef or 3 experience as a chef de parti in a hotel environment.
• Has knowledge of kitchen hygiene activities and health and safety standards
• Fluent in both Dutch and English verbal and written communication
