Purpose

· The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue growth and overall management of Nexans Industrial Solutions customers, engineering influencers, distributors and Manufacturer Representatives in the assigned region .
· The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for communicating all new product/customer/market opportunities to appropriate departments, leveraging Nexans global presence to gain specification position, developing and implementing distributor and manufacturing representative development plans, and actively pursue new accounts utilizing all applicable resources and sales tools.

Areas of responsibility

· Identify anddevelop sales opportunitieswith new and existing accounts, System integrators, EPC firms and channel/distribution partners.
· Manage direct/larger house accounts in the territory.
· Identify, recruit and manage manufacturer reps and distribution partners in the territory.
· Manage and lead the efforts of a group of independent Manufacturer Representatives to support current- and short-term revenue growth goals.
· Manage the company go-to-market strategy with direct end users, SI, Machine builders and manage flow through rep firms.
· Manage and lead Manufacturer Representatives to support long-term profitable growth through the identification of new opportunities and design wins.
· Frequent customer visits, working closely to tie Company resources to customer design requests supporting all sales activities.
· Communicate market opportunity to product development and marketing teams for use in the development of new products and services.
· Develop a good understanding of customer’s products, markets, supply chain, and business requirements.
· Timely preparation of a variety of status reports, including forecasting, visit activity, pipeline status, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
· Conduct monthly business reviews with manufacturer representatives.
· Conduct quarterly business reviews with Company management to present territory performance, imperatives, and results.
· Performs other related duties as requested or required.

· Manage designated customer accounts.
· Achieve Sales Targets.
· Pursue new revenue generating accounts.
· Manage Manufacturing representatives and distribution partners.

Position sizing

· Expected revenue budget – Year 1 - >\$1M.
· Exponential growth expected.

Required skills and qualifications

· Experience in Industrial Automation marketsand portfolios.
· Experience calling on Industrial end users, System integrators, Machine builders, EPC firms and channel/distribution partners.
· Must be able to communicate clearly to all levels internally and highlight critical needs.
· Demonstrated success working with Manufacturer’s Reps selling industrial products across multiple channels and vertical markets.
· Strong experience in developing new reps, channels and new business.
· Five to ten years experience selling a technical product.
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering, MBA preferred.
· Excellent communication skills. Proficient in related business software.
· Travel is expected to be 50%.
