Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Accountable for the visual strategy delivery across the region, by ensuring consistent layouts and implementation of the visual and POS guidelines.

• Responsibility for coaching and developing store teams, to improve the visual and commercial strength of stores.

• Produce and deliver a Field Visual Coach strategy across the region to agree training, focus stores, to ensure effective working and protecting/driving sales. Set key KPI’s to measure success.

• Monitor “red”, “amber” and “green “stores pulling together an action plan alongside the RBM to improve.

• Deliver the visual training modules in your region as well as within concept stores.

• Responsible for delivering and communication of model store, to ensure store teams are able to deliver a successful phase launch to the required standard.

• Outside model store communicate key RP seasonal layout messages to RBM’s and store teams to ensure successful delivery of changes.

• Review in store merchandising guidelines and recommend appropriate actions for future communications, by feeding back to the Office VM team.

• Regular store visits to review and improve implementation of layouts, guidelines and windows.

• Agree layouts for all stores in the region in conjunction with the RBM.

• Responsible for producing layout plans for new and concept stores on the region.

• Responsible for attending on site live projects across the region, to ensure the visual strategy is fully delivered to the expected standard.

• Review weekly performance on Concept stores to ensure correct layouts and changes are working appropriately. Produce action plan alongside RBM if improvements required.

• Is the point of contact for store teams / RBM queries relating to the Visual and POS strategy.

• Review competitors in the market place for merchandising, layouts and POS and provide recommends to the office VM team.

• Co-ordinates the sharing of success and best practices from stores with the wider Field Visual Coaches and retail office VM team.

• Attendance at key events, i.e. conferences, road-shows, seasonal briefs located around the country.

Technical and Behavioural Skills

• Excellent visual merchandising skills gained from New Look or other high street retailers.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to get the best out of people.

• Presentation skills essential

• Sound PC skills ( word, excel and power point )

• A sound understanding of store operations couples with a good general commercial awareness

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a visual role.

• Must hold a valid U.K driving licence.

Measures / Key Performance Indicator’s

• Delivery of concept stores

• Delivery of the visual strategy in the region and improving key focus stores

• Improved scores on snap shot and marketing research produced monthly.
