Sales Specialist (Internet Start-up) Unpaid internship
Industry Experience: Internet, Digital Media, E-commerce.
Netberg is looking for one Sales Specialist to complete our Sales Specialists team with the skills and the passion to promote Netberg.com platform and inspire people to explore exciting uses for it.
During this time, you will act as volunteer and become an integral part of the Netberg Sales team and play a significant role in the strategic development and stewardship of the company growth and development.
Since you will be working on the ground floor of a fast growing internet start-up, you will also get the opportunity to be involved in other areas of the company, After your internship is over, this position may turn into a full-time role with significant room for growth managing a group of 5 or 6, once Venture Capital has been raised.
Netberg provides all interns with all necessary equipment to perform the required tasks as well as communal lunches. Being self-funded start-up at the pre-revenue stage, Netberg is not in the position of offering any compensation yet. You will be joining the start-up culture and values of Netberg by helping cooking, tidying and taking care of the office just like managers do. You will not be spending every day in the office and it is very much likely that you spend time telecommuting / working from home, completing tasks assigned to you on our project management tool and communicating via conference call with the rest of the team.
Job description
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Sales Specialist’s primary focus is winning partner platform adoption of Netberg technology. You will help create the energy and excitement around Netberg offering, providing solutions and getting solutions into customers’ hands. Always curious, you stay on top of news about Netberg initiatives, ready to apply your expertise in customer interactions.
In order to meet these objectives, you will need to:
• Planning, organising and implementing door-to-door sales activities in order to reach sales objectives and goal
• Analysing, interpreting and evaluating the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs and results
• Having strong understanding of the business owners’ key priorities and where does Netberg play today, in order to develop a comprehensive account strategy that will confirm joint success
• Provide customers relevant information about the products and services and ensure after-sale assistance and support
• Screening different markets in order to identify new sales and business opportunities
• Possessing a highly-informed knowledge of competitive offerings, and creation of the positioning and messaging that will resonate with each audience
• Developing and communicating a deep understanding of the pivotal issues for the client segments in each market, maintaining activity reports.
Desired profile
Skills and requirements
The right candidate will have had proven success in Sales, preferably within a space of Big Data Search Engine, Social Networking, Digital Media, Enterprise Knowledge Base and Collaboration or SaaS Company targeting B2C and B2B market, and hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree, MS/MBA or PhD. You must have excellent verbal and communication skills, and you must thrive in an unstructured environment, operate proactively and have a passion for the open innovation vision, professional knowledge sharing and its impact on knowledge economy workers from around the world. The results of your efforts should be promoting product and service features that excite commercial customers, exploit and differentiate the Netberg platform, nurture educated developers and grow Netberg’s presence in the commercial segment.
