LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Between £28,000 and £35,000 depending on qualifications

We are a fast moving and dynamic area of the business with our goal being to provide the highest level of service at the most appropriate cost.

Our Opportunity
As Warehouse Accountant reporting into the Customer Logistics Finance Manager, you'll be responsible for providing effective financial support to the Warehouse teams which includes working collaboratively with 3 rd party logistics providers. Within Logistics Finance the team manages an annual budget of around £90m and provides financial support and analysis to all areas within Logistics and Customer Service.

You
You will have already developed an impressive track record within Finance and enjoy working within operational areas to challenge actions and decisions whilst having the drive to change and improve process. Your ability to integrate smoothly into the various stakeholder groups through building trust and reliability, will match your skills in validating/challenging using history and insight.

Key responsibilities will include:
· Working as a business partner with the Warehouse teams to drive down costs, ensure supply and maintain excellent customer service.
· Working in partnership with 3 rd party logistics providers & key internal customers to understand & report key KPIs & work towards improving performance.
· Producing the monthly management accounts for the warehouse operations and fixed overheads, ensuring cost centre managers understand & explain variances from plan.
· Providing cost & activity analysis for the warehouse operations, giving recommendations for improvement where applicable.
· Producing both financial and operational KPIs.
· In collaboration with key contacts, prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts to support the NiM (Nestle in the Market) businesses.
· Involvement in key logistics projects.
· Deputising for the Customer Logistics Finance Manager.

Your key attributes will include:
· The ability to work cross-functionally with ease, adapting your communication styles for the audience.
· Strong numerical and IT skills, including SAP and Excel.
· A collaborative, inspirational approach.
· As a part or fully qualified accountant you'll demonstrate excellent team-working and communication skills, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment.
