Shopper Marketing Manager - Grocery & Out Of Home (including eCommerce)

7 month Maternity Cover

£40,000 - £45,000 + 17% car allowance + Excellent benefits

Rickmansworth – Commutable from London, Slough, High Wycombe, Watford and Luton

Our opportunity

Reporting in to the Head of Category & Shopper development, you will develop our shopper marketing capabilities by using your shopper insight to execute integrated shopper in-store & on-line solutions. This is particularly important because of the strong growth opportunities, as well as the commercial return for us and the category.

Responsible for implementing the shopper marketing planned activities for the different category drivers according to the channels, format & brands and influencing the shoppers' path-to-purchase decisions by meeting their needs according to the mission/shopping trip.

Lead shopper marketing investment plan based on the key commercial opportunities and objectives common to NWUK & our retail partners in aligning the key stakeholders.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

·  Deliver Flawless Shopper & Customer Activation at the point of purchase.
·  Develop and deliver agreed Gold and Silver events based on Customer Brand Plans, manage the strategy, design, communication and execution of these events with key customers
·  Ensure the creation and delivery of eCommerce (digital) shopper insights that can be used to develop robust commercial propositions and selling stories for E-Commerce, and contribute to our Category Vision.Improve NWUK expertise on e-Commerce platforms to create a competitive advantage & deliver best-in class activations in that channel
·  Raise the profile of NWUK by building relationships with selected key trade publications in working closely with external Trade PR agency
·  Lead and develop Brand & Customer Activation Executive

Who is the right person for this role?

·  Shopper marketing can be a complex area so in order to be successful within the Shopper Marketing Manager role you will need to be pragmatic and have a simple, yet clear approach to your work.
·  Self-sufficient individual with the ability to get up to speed quickly
·  Previous experience operating in a varied and challenging role – If your current role is restrictive or none varied then unfortunately candidates with varied roles will be short listed in the first instance
·  Curious and challenging (In the right way) – This role requires someone to bring in fresh idea and challenge to status quo with the ability to follow their gut instance
·  Solution orientated with the ability to network effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
·  Previous/current experience gained in a Shopper Marketing role is essential as this role will be leading a small team
·  In-depth knowledge of consumer and shopper trends with strong competitor awareness
