To complete our Microscopy & Imaging facility based in Vers-chez-les-Blancs, we are looking for a Research Technician in Microscopy who will support the team in its daily service activities.
Key responsibilities
· Carrying out structural analysis (imaging) on a large variety of food products, using state-of-the-art microscopy instruments
· Deliver accurate and on-time technical support in key projects in a service oriented perspective
· Coordinate laboratory work with colleagues and develop innovative methods
· Develop and coach external facility users according to your core competences
· Contribute to the internal and external recognition of the Microscopy facility through the excellence of your work
· Follow up on results and participation in evaluation of results
· Responsible for Quality, Safety, Health and Environment within own area
· Ensure images and analysis are properly stored and indexed in Imagic database
· Proactively contribute to knowledge building and project business impact
· Integrate technical knowledge and QSHE best practices into image analysis activities.
· Participate to improve processes and procedures within imaging team's capabilities
Education and experience
· Technical certification (e.g. CFC) or university degree (e.g. HES, bachelor, DUT) in Materials Science, Physics, Biology or Chemistry. Knowledge in Food science is a plus.
· Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a R&D laboratory, preferably in an industrial environment
· Experience in light, fluorescence, electron and/or scanning probe microscopy techniques
· Mastering common informatics and reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft Office)
· Up-to-date knowledge of quality, safety and hygiene requirements
· Fluent in French and professional proficiency in English
