Job description
The QA Executive guides and supports the implementation of the Nestle Management System for Quality in a logistics supply chain in collaboration with the Supply Chain team and all other cross function teams across Nestle.
Your responsibilities would be to:
Quality System
· The QA Executive guides and supports the implementation of the Nestle Management System for Quality in the physical logistics in collaboration with the other departments.
· He / she validates and verifies that GMP, GWP and all other SOP's are effectively implemented.
· He / she assist the warehouses and distributions to maintain a high hygiene standard and practices at all times.
Finished Product / raw materials / line Control
· Following prescribe guidelines the QA Executive establishes and reviews all quality control checks in the storage, conversion and distributions of Finished Goods and raw materials. He / she is responsible to validate and verify that all quality checks are properly executed.
· He / she ensures that all best practices, standard routines and compliances are adhered to by close monitoring of requirements and advising on the corrective action to be taken in case of deviations.
Warehousing, Distribution and hygiene control
· Following prescribed guidelines the QA Executive establishes, implements and reviews all quality requirements setups to maintain physical logistics and hygiene controls. He / she is able to anticipate, trouble-shoot and resolve quality deviations in collaboration with the suppliers, service providers and the QA Manager.
· Participates in vendor assessment program.
Training
· Establishes in collaborations with the QA Manager, the training need for QAAs and cross function staff, on topics such as Nestle Management System for Quality, pest control, quality checks, hygiene training etc.
· He / She designs the training material and conducts the training sessions for QAAs and other functions.
Cost Management
· Following prescribe guidelines, he / she controls expenses costs.
· Continuously seeks opportunities on cost savings without impacting quality of products.
Good Warehouse and Physical Logistics Practices
· Ensures good warehouse and physical logistics practices being applied throughout all stages from sourcing to products on shelves.
· Ensures safe environment in the warehouse and physical logictics by proper storage and handling of chemicals and safe laboratory practice, were applicable.
People
· He / she coaches, trains, and motivates his / her team to achieve KPI targets.
· He / she maintains good work discipline in his / her department. He / she establishes the performance plan of his / her staff and conduct reviews regularly with the staff. He / she appraises their performance on an annual basis.
· He / she leads and guides the team on quality and safety practices and in identifying and resolving issues with team.
Continuous Improvement
· He / she continuously reviews the Quality system in collaboration with the Supply Chain Managers to improve food safety and competitive quality. In this respect the QA Executive supports the Management Review of Quality carried out at least annually. He / she is involved in the formulation of quality strategies and physical logistics objectives.
· He / she promotes quality improvement culture in the physical logistics. He / She actively involves in the implementation of C.I. projects.
You must have the following:
· Bachelor Degree in Food Sciences, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry or equivalent.
· Minimum 2-3 years experienced in Quality Food Manufacturing
· Good technical knowledge (on processing, laboratory methods, food science, food regulations, statistics and leadership and people management skills.
