Production Planner (DPS)

Job description

As a Detailed Production Scheduling Planner (DPS), the main purpose of the job is to provide consistently short term finite capacity-constrained production plans with feasible and realistic sequenced materials in accordance with the availability of resources.

Your responsibilities would include:

Create a feasible production plan within the DPS period that takes into consideration available capacity, labour and materials that respects the product family sequencing as determined by the Master Production Schedule planner and best optimizes the factory's availability to produce SKUs within the families.

Identify practical issues concerning plant shutdowns, timing of promotion activity within the DPS period.

Identify possible opportunities and challenges for the factory within the DPS period.

You must have the following:

Degree holder with 3 years of relevant operational experience in either production planning or material planning.

Experience using SAP and advanced skills in Excel.

Knowledge of LEAN or Just In Time manufacturing.

Knowledge of Demand/Supply Planning, Material Management or Inventory Management.
