Process Systems Engineer

We have a great opportunity for an individual to join the Cereal Partners team as a Process Systems Engineer .

What can you expect?

Provide technical leadership as the system and product specialist. Drive continuous improvements to the Factory by optimising system performance and product quality, while driving strategic productivity and capacity solutions.

Key duties include:

Identify and initiate productivity and efficiency improvements/opportunities.

·
Deliver projects using continuous improvement tools to achieve improvement in product quality.

·
Develop and deliver technical training in operations, cereal chemistry and technology, serve as technical coach and mentor.

·
Provide project engineering support, implementation of CWO level engineering improvements or changes.

·
Ensure that product/process tests and start-ups are supported and conducted effectively.

·
Develop and maintain system capacity and capability studies.

·
Determination and documentation of plant operating standards, provide cereal technology support.

·
Owner of Factory systems technical database, pro-actively network to share information across the business.

·
Assist across other plants with technical support, participate in cross functional technology product teams.

·
Provide raw/packing material leadership within the Factory.

Who we are looking for?

The successful candidates will be of graduate calibre with a degree (HNC/HND) in mechanical engineering or food science.

Other attributes would include:

· Proven relevant experience within the food industry.
·
Experience of process plant and/or high speed packing lines.

·
Knowledge of raw and packaging materials used in the production of breakfast cereals.

·
Understanding of safety, engineering, quality and labour regulations.

·
TPM or Lean manufacturing experience is desirable.

·
Excellent persuasive oral communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels.

·
Ability to manage multiple tasks whilst remaining calm under pressure.
