Our Opportunity

Due to a restructure of our Commodity Procurement team, we are looking for an Interim Operational Buyer to join our team in Gatwick on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Buyer looking for their step into a Global FMCG business, or someone with an analytical mind-set looking to get into Procurement.

The main purpose of the role is to work with the Strategic Commodity Buyers to manage operational buying for Europe, Middle East & North Africa in a timely and accurate manner with the aim of ensuring supply.

Key responsibilities will include:
·  Contract life cycle management
·  New supplier/new material creation process
·  Price fixation process for hedged commodities
·  Back office trade checks for transactions with external brokers
·  Act as first escalation point for invoice blocks
·  Work with suppliers, market procurement team and factories to solve supply issues

Your key relationships will be with Strategic Commodity Buyers and Local Buyers in our client markets.

You

Ideally educated to graduate level or equivalent you will have an understanding of procurement and be excellent at building relationships.

Ideally you will have:
·  Knowledge and understanding of 7 Step Procurement Process
·  Procure-to-Pay skills
·  Good IT skills and excellent attention to detail
·  Excellent communication skills
·  Understanding of basic finance
·  Understanding of the workflow of material and vendor data

As this is an operational buying role, we're not looking for someone who's a procurement expert. We're looking for people interested in Nestl é , who have a real desire to work in the Procurement/Supply Chain area and are keen to gain invaluable experience within a global FMCG environment.

Although this is a 6 month interim position, you will be given opportunities to apply for permanent roles across all Nestl é businesses once the contract has finished.
