The incumbent will be responsible for driving sales performance, market share, and brand representation/discoverability with key online retailers. This role is accountable for knowing Amazon's strategies, operations and shoppers deeply in order to create and execute effective strategies and plans, and educate the internal organization. This role owns the relationship with Amazon and is responsible for the creation and execution of an annual joint business plan, negotiating all retailer/trade-related terms/contracts, data access/KPI-tracking, sharing and translating category insights into actionable plans, and addressing all retailer specific requests/requirements.
Major Responsibilities
Create strong business plan for Amazon
· Be the Amazon expert by developing a deep understanding of Amazon strategies/roadmaps, organization, operations, shoppers , capabilities and best practices
· Understand Amazon requirements for strategic partnerships, educate internal organization on how to be successful at Amazon and collaborate with internal teams to develop plans to win
· Identify relevant KPIs, secure necessary data to measure and track accordingly
· Create and execute annual joint business plans (includes partnering with operations/supply chain/finance to enable key plan elements; collaborating with marketing/CSD for creation of relevant e-com packs)
· Identify and execute relevant test and learn plans to improve business performance, internal learnings and capabilities
Manage trade budget
· Develop strong understanding of various retailer programs' ROI
· Allocate trade budget to specific programs that drive the business
· Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts
Drive category and sales growth, markets share & brand representation online
· Translate category roadmaps and CAP's into actionable plans for Amazon
· Develop and execute strategies and plans to meet assigned sales and market share goals
· Monitor and improve brand distribution, representation and discoverability at Amazon
· Collaborate with brand/shopper marketing on key programs
Qualifications
· A university degree in a business related discipline
· Minimum 3 years previous experience in account management with responsibility for driving eBusiness sales through “pure play” retail partner accounts; and/or vendor management experience with responsibility for driving online sales for a retailer either in a buying, merchandising or marketing capacity
· Amazon-specific experience (internal or as vendor partner) with directly related experience to an Account Management role.
· Experience in building relationships, retailer negotiations, and creating and executing joint business plans with retailers
· Experience in communicating and translating retailer requests & insights to internal stakeholders and developing actions plans
· Experience in building annual plans, forecasts, analyzing retail programs and managing budgets
· Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods Industry (CPG) is preferred
