We're looking for a Packaging Specialist/Technologist within the Technical Application Group, based at our Tutbury factory in Derbyshire. You'll be rewarded with an attractive package of circa £30k per annum, holiday and pension working days.

Our Opportunity
We're looking for someone to work within the packaging team and work closely with a number of different internal and external clients.

As a Packaging Specialist/technologist, you will use your knowledge of materials and processes to develop and/or introduce new packaging and processes within our factory and suppliers while taking into consideration compliance with Nestlé and external standards.
You will also support technology and knowhow transfer into the factory, managing NPD projects as well as ensuring supply, by supporting the factory and the marketing team initiatives related to packaging, packaging processes and technologies. You will be asked to attend packaging Technical Reviews and feedback to the team any technical changes or developments as well as providing technical assistance and sharing ideas where needed.

You
We're looking for someone with previous experience in high speed packing machines such as sachet fillers, multi-head can and jar fillers, scales, baggers, cartoners, case packers and palletisers, alongside experience with packaging materials.
Skills and experience needed for the role:
·  Packaging Diploma/Packaging engineer
·  Understanding packaging specifications
·  Understanding food contact requirements for packaging materials
·  Analytical thinking & proactive continuous improvement (DMAIC)
·  Good interpersonal relationship & excellent team-working
·  Previous experience in fast moving, complex environment
·  Project management skills.
