We're looking for Engineering Technicians in the Industrial Services Department, based at our Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire. You'll be rewarded with an attractive package of circa £25K basic per annum with a 30% shift allowance, holiday and pension working on either a continental or days style shift pattern.

Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after a £250 million investment over the last few years. The factory produces several of the most well-known Nescafé products in world through freeze-dried, spray dried and pod coffee production technologies and is at the forefront of coffee production globally


Our Opportunity

We're looking for technicians to support the factory Engineering department providing service to the Production departments and fostering a cross departmental culture of quality and teamwork as well as to provide technical support to the Senior Technician and /or Industrial Services Manager, be a key problem solver when breakdowns occur, as well as continuously driving improvements across the performance of assets.

The roles available cover Electrical, Mechanical and Multi-Skilled aspects within the factory and be working to drive improvements in the performance of machinery and assets within the factory, technically supporting the shift management team and developing the technical skills within the operational teams. You will also be responsible for operating, maintaining and developing the IS plant.

For Multi-Skilled Technicians we expect you to have strong electrical engineering skills alongside mechanical engineering ability with lots of initiative and attention to detail and be someone who takes pride and responsibility in what you do.

You will have experience of industrial services (steam boilers, refrigeration, legionella, compressed air, effluent, etc...).This is not essential as training will be provided

Mechanically you will be able to demonstrate skills working on pneumatics systems, process equipment including gearboxes drives, pumps, valves, and also/or packaging equipment.

Experience of modern manufacturing techniques such as 5S, LEAN and TPM would be ideal.
This is an ideal role for a recently qualified apprentice as well as experienced engineers looking for a new challenge.

Preferable is a qualification in Engineering (Dueled skilled preferred ), as well as a time served apprenticeship and have working experience in Process Manufacturing or Industrial maintenance. .
