We're looking for an Electrical Engineering Technician to be based in our factory in Fawdon, Tyne & Wear. This role comes with an attractive package, comprising a basic salary of up to £43,000 plus an annual bonus, private medical insurance and pension.

At our Nestlé Fawdon Factory we produce many of Nestlé"s iconic brands including Fruit Pastilles, Tooty Frooties, Fruit Gums, Rolo, Blue Riband, Breakaway & Toffee Crisp. These are produced through a highly automated PLC controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines.
Our Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Technician with a comprehensive knowledge of instrumentation and control engineering in an automated manufacturing environment. As part of our ongoing plant improvement programme we have invested heavily in state of the art PLC controlled, batch and continuous manufacturing processes, and high speed packaging machinery.
Working under minimum supervision, duties will include provision of technical support with diagnosis and rectification of faults on complex manufacturing plant, and identification and implementation of modifications to programmable and electrical systems in order to improve plant performance.
You'll be developing a collaborative relationship with the whole production team to maximise morale, working proactively to identify opportunities and leading projects to drive improvements. Part of this aspect of the role will involve managing and delivering training where needed. You'll also provide technical support – and this may include some out of hours and weekend work.
You
You will have served a Technical Apprenticeship, and be educated at least to an HNC level in Electrical/Electronics. You should have wide ranging experience in a technical support/development role utilising PLCs, HMIs, Servos and Invertor drive systems in a high volume manufacturing environment.
