Our Opportunity We are looking for an electrically qualified Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Automation Engineer with plenty of initiative to join the Engineering team, to further develop the factory MES systems and Industrial IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing the site with professional and technical support on Manufacturing Execution Systems, Process Control Systems and Automation, to effectively support operational activities and continuously improve manufacturing performance. With a focus on ensuring the reliability of equipment on the plant and product quality, you'll need to display a thorough knowledge of automation technologies and software development (MES, PLC, HMI and SCADA), particularly for the control and improvement of food processing plants and packaging plants. The factory is currently installing the latest Rockwell hardware and Wonderware software including System Platform and MES as part of a global programme, so this is an outstanding opportunity for the right individual.

You
The successful candidate will be time served and educated to a minimum standard of HND (Preferably degree and working towards Chartered status) in automation, control systems engineering or an equivalent suitable discipline, with at least 3 years work experience on factory MES/SCADA, automation and process control systems in a manufacturing environment. We'll be looking for demonstrable experience of MES/SCADA programming and software development, with good knowledge of industrial IT, data transfer, communication and networking systems.
