Job description
To develop the (Sub)Category and/ or Channel agenda within the Retail business to support long term Category and Channel growth and profitably increase market share.
· Define strategies and plans that deliver Category and Channel growth based on consumer, shopper and customer requirements.
· Co-create Channel plan together with the channel manager and recommend tailored Category Channel plans in line with the overall market strategy.
· Develop and propose the in-store vision of success for the Category in each Channel. Lead its implementation and continuously review the effectiveness of our in-store actions.
· Align brand strategy and category vision, translate info actionable sales plans. Together with KAM responsible for implementation at retailers.
· Contribute to the ICP process by identifying the key opportunities and possible action plans for the Category and Channel.
· Recommend actionable in-store solutions based on a clear understanding on shopper behaviour within your Category/sub Category.
· Recommend clear promotional guidelines based on shopper understanding and current market knowledge. Ensure all promotional investment is properly reviewed and evaluated.
· Implement the Nestlé shelf vision by advicing retailers with planograms, which deliver category growth and growth of the Nestlé brand(s); continuously review the effectiveness of our shelf vision.
· Continuously monitoring of business results within all segments of the category by using both internal and external market data. Inform and challenge team to deliver targets.
· Recommend winning commercial propositions for the category/sub category, effectively communicating these to customer and field sales managers as appropriate.
· Uphold and embed Nestlé culture and share policies and best practices with the team and ensure full compliance to company rules.

We are looking for…
· A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Sales or Marketing role, experience in a Channel/Category Manager role
· Experience within the FMCG (Food) industry is required
· Affinity with and knowledge of the retail sector
· Demonstrable record of success in a customer facing role
· Excellent understanding of customers and selling process
· Understands key business functions
· Working Knowledge of core Business Processes, e.g. Dynamic Forecasting
· Working knowledge of Competition Law
· Marketing & Sales/SBU Tools & Best Practices
· Advanced understanding of Shopper, Market Intelligence sources, Category/Channel/Shopper trend
· Bilingual French/Dutch (both written/verbal), good knowledge of English
