NBCUniversal has launched a new Telemundo-owned station in Hartford, Connecticut. The station is co-located with NBC Connecticut / WVIT and both stations serve local Spanish- and English-speaking viewers in the Hartford market. In addition, the new station debuted Telemundo Boston's newly rebranded weekday newscast “Noticiero Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra” in December, 2017. Noticiero Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra is produced by Telemundo Boston and includes reports from Hartford- and Boston-based reporters, and delivers 10 hours of live, local breaking news and information each week to Spanish-speaking viewers in Hartford and Boston.
NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut are looking for someone to direct their combined national sales efforts. With the majority of national business for both stations originating in New York, this position will be based primarily in New York City, with a weekly presence required on-site in West Hartford as well. As a duopoly National Sales Manager you will be responsible for: Negotiating agency TV business, involving national clients and agencies in our mobile, digital, out-of-home and any other multi-platform advertising; Managing and analyzing inventory; Developing sales presentations and packages. Executing creative sales approaches to grow market share; Developing in-market relationships with National clients; Leading change.This position reports directly to the VPOS of NBC Connecticut/Telemundo Connecticut. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Create strategies for increasing share of available advertising budgets. Develop sales strategies and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objectives, goals, win strategies, schedules and action assignments.
· Create strategies for engaging national clients in NBC and Telemundo digital offerings. Create digital packages and compelling presentations. Maintain domain expertise in the use of digital products. Develop and maintain a digital sales approach for national sales.
· Create strategies for generating specific share of business by maximizing our sports products, network and local specials. Develop strategies and action plans for identifying targets of opportunity.
· Direct the national sales effort through direct communication with buyers/clients and detailed planning. Provide quick response and turnaround and deliver on timelines and commitments.
· Work with VP of Sales, Local Sales Managers, Inventory Control Analyst and Traffic departments on inventory and pricing strategies along with special opportunity and sports sales.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
· At least 2 years of experience including: direct responsibility for growing share of national spot business in the television sales industry, as well as working with advertising agencies. Knowledge of pricing strategies, inventory control, research tools and resources.
