Responsibilities

NBC is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our finance team in the London News Bureau. The incumbent will work closely with worldwide operational teams and with the finance teams in the US.

Job Duties
·Assist with quarterly closing process: journal entries, variance analysis, and post close financial reporting.
·Support financial planning and annual budget efforts: pacing and reporting, identifying risks and opportunities.
·Liaison with worldwide bureaus monthly to capture financial reporting and supporting documentation.
·Assist accounts payable responsibilities; coordinate processing and approvals for invoices from vendors all over the world, update operators and team members, and work with vendors as needed.
·Lead controllable expenses reporting and audits including: improving controllership, identifying key trends, summarizing themes for leadership teams, and providing cost management ideas.
·Periodically present updates on financial and operating performance and other projects to finance and operating leadership teams.
·Collaborate with the other Finance team members to better support Operators and maintain a healthy division of responsibilities.
·Participate in ad hoc projects in order to gain knowledge in other areas and cultivate creativity.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• A minimum of two years' experience performing financial analysis, forecasting, and/or financial modeling.

• Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Proficient use of SAP/Business Warehouse/BPC or similar accounting software.

• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build relationships across the organization.

• Team player with exceptional work ethic.
