Responsibilities
The ArtWorks Team is seeking a Real-Time Graphics (RTG) Specialist to contribute to the creation of graphics for Real-Time systems for the NBC News Organization.
Job Duties
· Implement on- air Vizrt and other RTG elements for MSNBC, Digital, and NBC News.
· Build Lower thirds, animations, and Full Screen graphic templates using Viz Artist and Vizrt Template Wizard.
· Integrate data with Vizrt real-time graphics (RTG).
· Must be proficient in writing and applying VBScript into the smart template-build process to achieve “ease of use” entry for the end-user and TRIO play-out Operators.
· Work closely with Artworks Designers, Electronic Graphics Build Team, RTG Team and show Directors to take designs from concept to working Vizrt template elements.
· Contribute to the implementation and refinement of RTG workflows.
· Format graphic templates, organize data and assist in effects preparation play-out for live and taped telecasts.
· Coordinate graphics details with iNews Team, Directors, Technical Directors, Producers, Coordinators, Artists and technical Operation's Managers.
· Troubleshoot technical and graphic production issues related to RTG workflows.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years' experience in Vizrt systems (including Artist, Template Wizard and Trio).
• Deep understanding of live news graphics workflow.
• SQL and databases understanding.
• 1+ years of experience in 3D animation.
• 3+ years' experience in professional TV graphics creation.
• Proficient in Viz Transition Logic.
• Working knowledge of Viz 3 Script and VBScript
• Understanding of RTG iNews integration and plug-in development.
• Experience working in a fast paced 24/7 news environment.

• Previous experience with Chyron Duet or Hyper X, Chyron LyricPro, Avid Thunder and Orad 3-D Play advantageous.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively with others.
• Previous experience with Inews newsroom system, MOS automation, Chyron CAMIO Graphics Management system, LUCI and Orad Maestro Inews plugins – a plus.
• Understanding of REST API, JSON/XML- a plus.
• Understanding of additional programming languages- a plus.
• Advanced PC skills.
• Interest in social media trends and current events.
