Job Profile
As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership, coordination, and management of DW/BI projects in NBC Sports BI and Analytics group. These responsibilities include planning and execution of projects and enhancements through their full software development lifecycle and manage day-to-day production operations within SLAs. This role also requires strong understanding of DW/BI architecture and concepts, and hands-on experience in BI tools/technologies to guide/mentor team members.
Responsibilities
· Make recommendations about data collection methods, metrics definition, and analytical evaluation methods, in collaboration with internal and external partners.
· Create and evaluate data needs of assigned projects and ensure the data integrity
· Assist in defining and validating processes for data cleansing, integration, and transformation.
· Serve as technical expert responsible for the architecture, design and implementation of BI/DW solutions, with accurate and complete information delivery to business users using systematic, maintainable and automated procedures
· Assist in activities around data architecture standards and documentation
· Lead and participate in design review sessions, testing and post-deployment activities including data accuracy validations
· Establish close partnership with business users and other IT application teams to provide data strategy expertise ensuring overall data quality within our services and solutions including interfaces to other applications
· Mentor and coach junior project staff on DW/BI best practices

Qualifications/Requirements
Skills Required
· Proven project management skills in the area of data integration, ETL, data warehouse, and business intelligence projects
· Experience working with teams composed of consultants, sub-contractors, and full-time employees
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to IT leadership and executives.
· Strong analytic and estimation skills pertinent to data warehousing and business intelligence
· Experience in both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies, and ability to determine/recommend when each is appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science or technology/engineering related field
· Minimum 6 years of proven experience in data warehousing and business intelligence
· Experiencing managing projects with 10-20 resources, including a mix of onsite/offsite
· Minimum 3 years managing DW/BI Projects
· Minimum 4 years practical, hands-on experience with two or more of the following areas of DW/BI: Power BI, Reporting (Tableau, Microstrategy), ETL (Informatica), Data Analysis (SQL Knowledge), Data Modeling/Architecture, Development/Architecture, Information Delivery/Architecture, DW/BI Quality Assurance, Master Data Management, DW/BI Solution Architecture, DW/BI Physical Infrastructure
· Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work across multiple groups and levels in organization
· Excellent problem solving and decision making ability
· Excellent written and verbal communications with ability to interact with all levels of management
· Must be able to work out of Stamford office, and traveling to tri-state area as required.
