Responsibilities
Summary
The scheduler will be responsible for the creating the entire playlist, including placing all programming, promotions, commercials and secondary events. The role involves liaising internally and externally, in particular with Planning, Promotions, Commercial Traffic and Playout, ensuring that Ofcom regulations (COSTA code) and strict delivery deadlines are adhered to at all times.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Create and deliver accurate presentation schedules to tight Playout deadlines.
Take full responsibility for managing assigned feed(s).
Have an in-depth understanding of monthly Planning Grid and key programming priorities. Ensure that the Presentation Schedule always matches Planning Grid, in particular following programme amendments.
Schedule all on-air promotions and channel branding in line with media plan.
Monitor channel output, and have a thorough understanding of the on-air look of all channel branding and promotions, including the transition between different elements.
Create accurate break patterns, commercial breaks and/or opt-outs
Liaise with commercial traffic department or external ad agencies.
Manage and resolve scheduling issues on an ad hoc basis.
Liaise with Playout facility.
Work closely with other departments within the channel management groups and attend meetings as required.

Skills and experience:
Required
• Presentation scheduling experience.
• A good understanding of Broadcast processes.
• Working knowledge of Ofcom broadcasting regulations (COSTA code).
• Extremely high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Computer literate.
• Proactive problem solver.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Perform well under pressure.
Desirable but not essential
• Familiar with analysing rating statistics.
• Knowledge of our NBCUniversal channels and brands.
• Good spoken and written French.
