Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

·  Research and track daily news cycle. Compile headlines, links and news summaries into premises document for monologue writers
·  Highlight scripts for shoots as needed, and any other pre-production needs that the head writer may have when producing a bit or a pre-tape.
·  Update archives including the "aired sketch list," "thank you notes archive" and other databases for various bits.
·  Assist control room in tracking down writers if they are needed on the studio floor.
·  Take notes in meetings with writers and assist in meeting setup
·  Assist with distribution and tracking of Writer concepts and material
·  Communicate and assist in scheduling Writers for meetings or other show related obligations
·  Occasionally help mono writers keep track of technical elements used for broadcast, including: graphics, photos, sound effects, etc.
·  Transcribe final monologue
·  Assist writers with any internet research or video transcription for current and upcoming bits.
·  Overseeing the interns as they handle the writers' coffee, lunch and dinner runs.
·  Other responsibilities as assigned.

·  Minimum of 1 year of prior experience on a TV show (preferably at a studio or network)

·  Minimum 1 year experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
