Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Mobile Developer will be building and maintaining sports focused applications for iOS or Android to feature live broadcast, video on demand, news, and special event related functionality. On a daily basis, the developer will be coding new features, troubleshooting issues, and working with the project and product team to define future projects. Developers are responsible for constructing best in class mobile sports applications and have the opportunity to work on all facets of mobile application development including integrating with third party video providers, analytics, and APIs.
Responsibilities
· Work with the product team to design and develop features for iOS or Android applications including NBC Sports, NBC Gold, and Sports Talk
· Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs in existing applications and new code
· Code, test, and debug code
· Collaborate with project managers and fellow developers to create technical solutions, estimate work effort, and review feasibility of new features
· Demonstrate a deep understanding of the iOS or Android platform and ecosystem
· Educate business stakeholders when new technical advances and features become available
· Work with other developers to perform code reviews, establish best practices, and continually improve the way the team operates
· Create bug free, fault tolerant solutions that support a great user experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum one (1) year development experience with iOS and/or Android
Minimum three (3) years' of software development experience
Proficient in Java, Objective-C and Swift
Previous work on an application submitted and published in the Google Play Store or the App Store
Additional Qualifications
Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work with a team that spans multiple groups and divisions of a large company
Meticulous attention to detail and quality
Capable of managing multiple streams of work simultaneously
Ability to discuss ideas and project status clearly with non-technical team members
Deep passion for mobile software development
Demonstrated ability to write well structured, maintainable code
Solid understanding of the architecture and structure of iOS and/or Android applications
Ability to execute in a fast paced, date driven, live broadcast environment
