Role Purpose

NBCUniversal's Creative Content Protection department supports NBCUniversal's content globally with four key areas: (1) developing more secure and scalable frameworks for Internet-based video distribution, (2) improving security technologies and processes in content production and distribution, (3) addressing voluminous copyright infringements on websites, apps and protocols, and (4) analyzing data to measure and understand the drivers of unlicensed video consumption on the Internet.

The Manager, Creative Content Protection Operations is focused on monitoring NBCUniversal's intellectual property across the Internet. The Manager leads a team of operators, developers and contractors in 24/7 online infringement detection and takedown activities.

Responsibilities
·  Manage 24/7 online infringement monitoring & takedown operations team
·  Manage vendors, in-house personnel, and tools to optimize title copyright protection at scale for film and TV studio assets across multiple platforms:
·  Search engines
·  Stream and download cyberlocker sites
·  App stores
·  Online marketplaces
·  Peer-to-peer notice sending programs
·  Rogue piracy distributors
·  Oversee development of in-house monitoring tools to cost effectively discover NBCU content on infringing digital platforms and engage in available takedown or notice procedures
·  Manage creative content protection databases, data sources, and reporting systems
·  Support international businesses and licensing teams with localized monitoring programs and vendors
·  Track operational health to fine tune workflows and processes
·  Assess emerging piracy threats
·  Track changes in technology and operations of websites providing access to authorized and unauthorized content
·  Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with legal teams through regular communications, high regard for compliance measures, and the pursuit of shared knowledge

·  Internet/computer or content industries, preferably in Content Protection efforts

·  Managing system/technical development, including familiarity of software development lifecycles

·  Experience with MS Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint

·  Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce measurable and meaningful metrics that drive and/or demonstrate ongoing improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and business impact

·  Strong communication skills with ability to present and interact with all levels of management; must be able to communicate at a deep technical level with technical professionals and also be able to communicate complex technical concepts, operations, and metrics to non-technical executive management

·  An active interest in TV/Film, and the global aspect of the media industry
