Operating Expenditure

• Responsible for overhead models; Contractors and General Overheads. Tracking actuals to forecast and preparing overhead pacing for FP&A
• Providing variance commentary and presentation decks for meetings with functional leadership.
• Managing the assistant accountant in month/quarter end closes for accruals
• Assisting with the Budget/LRP process

Corporate reporting
• Co-ordinating quarterly reporting close process and managing wider team towards key milestones and deliverables
• Analysing balance sheet accounts at quarter end for balance sheet review with HQ and NBCU Corporate
• Responsible for resolving edit checks identified at corporate level during quarter end closes

Production Accounting (e.g. Downton Abbey Exhibition)
• Assist with the reconciliation of closed production budgets, tracking accruals to completion of individual projects
• General cost and data analysis when required by the finance functions

Tax
• Calculation and posting of tax estimates on quarterly basis
• Work with tax team to support reconciliation of tax balances

Transfer Pricing
• Calculation and processing of transfer pricing agreements
• Maintenance of transfer pricing agreements

VAT returns
• Assist corporate VAT team with the preparation of all quarterly VAT returns (stand alone or VAT group where relevant) for all UK ITVP entities including production accounting elements
• Full reconciliation of VAT control accounts to filed returns

Additional Finance Support
• Assist finance functions (controllership and FP&A) with relevant data analysis
• Support the Statutory accountant with the audit and filing process
• Assist with project work
• Ad hoc data reports / requests / tasks
• Newly qualified with an accredited professional finance qualification (ACA or equivalent);
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (US and UK GAAP);
• Exposure to a large multi-currency organisation;
• Excellent excel skills (lookups, pivots, ability to manage and analyse volume of data);
• Confident with financial systems. SAP experience beneficial, but not essential;
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with ability to effectively manage multiple deliverables;
• Highly motivated, self-starter with a proactive attitude towards work coupled with the ability to use initiative and take ownership of all work
• Team player as well as proven ability to work autonomously;
• Demonstrated attention to detail with proven accuracy;
• Confident, accountable and solution focused;
• Demonstrated experience of working in a fast paced environment;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with Management and other Departments;
• Excellent English (written and spoken) language
