Responsibilities

The Brand Marketing Coordinator supports MSNBC's Brand Marketing team in the execution of strategies that drive growth of the MSNBC audience and brand. S/he will report to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing and work closely with the Brand Marketing Managers and members of the broader NBC News and MSNBC Marketing department. The position is based in New York City.

Job Duties

·  Support the development and execution of topical promotion and cross-platform marketing campaigns for the MSNBC brand and shows.

·  Be a voracious consumer of MSNBC content, and actively identify content to leverage for promotional use.

·  Actively manage department's collection of brand and show creative assets and talent photography.

·  Coordinate with editorial teams and in-house Creative and Production teams to facilitate photo shoots with talent.

·  Work closely with partner departments, including Communications, Programming and Affiliate Marketing, to ensure accuracy and consistency in communication of MSNBC and show brands.

·  Strategize new, non-traditional ways to fuel growth of MSNBC's audience and brand; focus on gaining and retaining younger audiences via digital and social content extensions.

·  Monitor linear and digital audience trends with a suite of measurement tools.

·  Contribute to planning and execution of on-site activation at select events and remote telecasts.

·  Support Managers and Senior Director in ideation and execution of marketing partnerships.

·  2+ years of professional marketing experience; experience at an agency or media company is preferred.

·  Readiness to work outside standard business hours when necessary, including on weekends.
