Responsibilities

Role Purpose
NBC Universal has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join their Facilities Operations department as a HVAC Refrigeration Watch Engineer.

Responsibilities •Operate Air Compressors, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment, Pumps, Fans and all other equipment associated with or appurtenant to the facility and plant.
•Operate and maintain critical infrastructure environment, Data Centers, Critical Chillers, Automatic Switch operation and operating Generators in an emergency environment.
•Perform daily assignments independently as required by supervisors or scheduled maintenance
•Perform maintenance on Air Handling Units, VAV Boxes, Pumps, Refrigeration Equipment and Emergency Generators
•Complete work order assignments
•Operate a Building Automation System.
•Responsible for maintaining all necessary records and logs, and keeping the plant and work areas in safe, clean, and operable condition.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications•Minimum 3-5 years' experience in the operation and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
•High School Diploma or Equivalent
•Valid New York City Q01 COQ Refrigeration Engineer license
•C.F.C. Universal Certificate
•Proficient in the use of tools, methods and materials associated to the maintenance of HVAC and all associated equipment.
•Demonstrate working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems and both electronic and pneumatic controls
•This position is a NABET Local 11 Represented job. Successful candidate will be required to join the NABET Local 11 Union upon employment if not already a member.
