Job Description

Overall purpose of the role: This position will see you working as a hands-on Business Analyst taking on the responsibilities of engaging with stakeholders, Assisting with the business case, gathering requirements, planning, writing specification, designing tests and executing them on a wide variety of projects related to the Global Market Commodity (GMC) activity. Main responsibilities and duties of the role (indicate if any are shared, if so with which other position): All actions where appropriate to this position must be compatible with Natixis carrying out business in accordance with the FCA Principles for Business which are available on the FCA website and detailed in the Natixis UK compliance manual. The role is taking place into the GMC Business Analyst team of Natixis London branch. The role will require management of a wide variety of projects and business analysis linked to the commodity group : • Gather and clarify users’ needs • Assist the business with the business case and engage with the stakeholders • Specification and testing of new bookings and pricing • New products implementation within Sophis • Improvement within Sophis using the toolkits • Interaction with Quants, development and infrastructure teams • Reporting for projects to sponsors The GMC activity concerns energy, US gas, base and precious metals, carbon and solutions financial products. There are also physical activities such as metals warrant, precious metals and carbon. The main ETRM system is Sophis and the team is also in charge of the different trading applications used by the trading desk. The purpose of the role is to provide to GMC derivatives activity • Specifications of changes • Quality deliverables by providing test plan and tests results • Full in depth analysis and planning for larger projects The role require interactions with the developments and support teams for reviewing specifications, quotation of work, tests, second line support and release management. Also, engaging with stakeholders is part of the role: trading and sales desks, quants, risk, middle office, compliance and legal departments. As part of the role, it is required also to manage projects and ensure the deliverable are done with high quality and well documented. There may be occasional business trips to Paris. This role requires:  IT Business Analyst experience within Front Office with knowledge of derivatives product  ETRM such as Sophis experience (P&L, Greeks, booking…)  Model validation (front office pricing, market risks, greeks)  Project management experience, especially Agile or DevOps methodologies  IT experience within Front Office with knowledge of financial market and derivatives products  Understanding of full trade lifecycle process  Ability to engage with stakeholders (Traders, quants, developers and sponsors)  Capacity to work within a multi-site environment; this requires good communication skills, agility and team work  Knowledge of financial regulations (FRTB, MIFID, Dodd Frank, …) will be a plus  Experience of commodity derivatives will be a plus Responsible for producing: Functional Specifications Tests plans and results Project planning Project statuses Responsible for reviewing : Functional specifications with teammates Business requirements with stakeholders Deliverables and tests results with developers
