Job description

Don’t you just love it when a plan comes together? Muddy Stilettos Norfolk is going great guns [applause please…] and is looking to recruit a recent media graduate eager to work on an award-winning website.

If you are new to the site, here’s a bit about Muddy Stilettos:

Muddy Stilettos first tottered into the world in Summer 2011 as a bit of fun. Founder Hero Brown – previously a national journalist at the Independent on Sunday, Observer, Red, Marie Claire, Elle and The Telegraph – moved out of London to the rural Bucks/Oxon borders.

The idea was a simple one: to write a witty but indispensable guide to the very best restaurants, walks, boutiques, day trips, hotels, interiors and events in the local counties and in doing so, perk up her social life. No advertorials. No PR guff. Just upbeat honesty. Everything was checked out personally, with the focus on the exceptional, the interesting, the quirky.

In Nov 2012, the blog turned into a business and, by 2015, won Innovative Blog of the Year. Muddy Bucks/Oxon has become so successful that it has moved into nine further counties – Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Northants, Surrey, Kent, Norfolk, Sussex, Somerset and Cornwall, with more to follow in 2017.

In the last few months, Hero has also launched Muddy Stilettos Boutique, an online shop for unusual, exciting and unique gifts.

Muddy Stilettos Norfolk launched in February and is already in need of another pair of hot pink heels – the first pair worn down traipsing the streets of Norwich and Norfolk. Slowly, but surely, we are unearthing the best and quirkiest restaurants, hotels, bars, shops and cafes in the county – with a lot more ground to cover.

I am looking for an intern for six weeks to help write posts and assist with The Muddy Awards, launching next week.
