Weave Internship - Woven Textiles

Job description

Weave internship available for a textile studio specialising in woven textiles. (ongoing)

Duties: Assisting with preparing and designing for both in-house and client collections. Weaving is CAD designed on a specialised woven software. Training on software will be given but an understanding of using a loom/weaving essential. You will be analysing fabrics, colour matching and preparing the collection for trade shows. You will also be helping setting up the loom and weaving.

Skills: Someone who understands weaving with a good sense of colour, committed, pro-active and can work in a team as well as independently.

You must have your own accommodation in London. Travel expenses and lunch paid.

Desired profile

A textile degree completed or ongoing (specialising in woven textiles) or equivalent experience.
