We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a Transport Refrigeration Engineer to join the Vehicle Maintenance Unit team at our Latimer Park Distribution Centre , Kettering . Reporting to the Shift Team Manager, you will work closely with the VMU team to ensure that you will provide an efficient scheduled maintenance and repair service for our fleet of Refrigerated Trailers, both on and off site. You will be expected to adhere to the guidelines and instructions of handling equipment and maintain good housekeeping and health & safety .

Here at Morrisons our Refrigeration Engineers do the following;

· Work collaboratively within the VMU Engineering team

· Investigate and establish causes of all breakdowns, failures and damages

· Ensure that all necessary spare parts and materials are ordered

· Action any necessary service/repairs and ensure all electronic records are updated so recurrent faults can be identified.

· Ensure compliance with refrigeration industry standards, relevant to gas leakage checks

· Be proactive in ensuring good health and safety on site

What do I need to be a successful Refrigeration Engineer?

· You will be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in refrigeration and air conditioning and hold F-Gas 2079

· Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault finding role gained from within a Road Transport Refrigeration business

· Have a good understanding of Engines and generators

· Previous experience of Hubbard, Carrier or Thermo king is beneficial however not essential.

· You will also possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision making skills and have a can do attitude to your work.

· A clean driving licence is essential
