Rathbones (Morrisons) are going through some exciting times with ambitious plans for growth. Our current production which is - 5 existing plants will soon to rise to 7 plants. We currently produce 1,200,000 sliced loaves, 1,000,000 baguettes, 2,000,000 rolls, 600,000 muffins per week!! We have over approx 40SKUs and we are the only bakery in the Morrisons world

We’ve have some great opportunities for Multi Skilled Engineers - Mechanical & Electrical Bias to join the Engineering team at our manufacturing site in Wakefield. Reporting to the Engineering Team Manager, you will work closely with the production team to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is conducted in advance to avoid production disruption.

Here at Morrisons our Multi Skilled Engineers do the following;

· Work collaboratively within the Engineering team
· Support in investigating means of improving plant productivity
· Ensure that all necessary spare parts, materials and equipment are available.
· Investigate and establish causes of all breakdowns and damages
· Action any necessary repairs and ensure all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised.
· Be involved in both electrical and mechanical reactive and pro-active maintenance.
· Be proactive in ensuring good health and safety on site

What do I need to be a successful Multi Skilled Engineer?

· You will be qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical Engineering, BTEC level 3 in Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
· Ideally, IEE qualification up to 17th edition Wiring Regulations
· Have a proven track record in an Engineering and fault finding role gained from within a FMCG environment (Ideally Food Industry)
· Have a good understanding of HACCP principles
· Previous experience programming PLC is beneficial however not essential.
· You will also possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate assertiveness and decision making skills and have a can do attitude to your work.
