We have an opportunity for a Loss Prevention Advisor (Covert Operations) to join our Loss Prevention Team in the South East region, (Portsmouth to Reading).

You’ll carry out Loss Prevention and Security activities and observations in order to deter, deny, and detect criminal activity and breaches of procedure that cause shrink and loss.

Loss Prevention is a high performing team which works in partnership with colleagues from one end of our business to the other, supporting plans and helping to control costs, grow profits and improve security.

At Morrisons, Loss Prevention Advisors ;

· Carry out covert & out of hours store observations to detect shop lifters and investigate suspicious activity
· Plan and deliver targeted activity based on information pinpointing loss and crime activity
· Build evidence and conduct arrests where crime and breach of procedure occurs
· Work with retail store teams to help identify criminal activity and provide guidance on loss prevention principles and approaches
· Work cross-functionally across loss prevention, retail and with data mining colleagues to gain information that will help target activity
· Are trusted Advisors to the Business, providing guidance and advice to colleagues on Security Procedures and Loss Prevention

What skills and experience do I need ?

· Good working knowledge of the law and legal requirements; experience giving evidence in court is beneficial
· Good working knowledge of Company policies and procedures; retail security experience beneficial
· Structured working approach and flexibility of working hours is required; you’ll plan your own workload to maximise efficiencies
· Experience taking witness statements and compiling evidential documentation
