We've got a fantastic opportunity for a People Assistant (Human Resources) at our Manufacturing site Farmer’s Boy - Greenside, Bradford. Reporting to the People Advisor, you will provide people, payroll and administrative support to the People Team. This is an ideal developmental role for somebody who is looking to progress their career within HR.

We’re looking for a customer-focused People Assistant who consistently delivers a great service. You’ll be a true collaborator and partner well with your People colleagues and the wider business, identifying areas for improvement and sharing best practice.

This is a part time vacancy working 3 days per week on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday.

Here at Morrisons our People Assistants do the following:

· First point of contact for foundation level site queries, consistently providing excellent customer service.
· Offering HR expertise and advice to Site Colleagues and Managers as necessary
· Providing administrative support to the People team
· Ensure payroll administration is accurate and all colleagues get paid correctly and on time
· Maintaining records, files and spreadsheets in line with data protection legislation
· Ad-hoc analysis and reporting on People issues
· Coordinating weekly People audit checks
· Supporting the recruitment process for the Site as required
· Becoming a subject matter expert on Company policies, ensuring the site remains fully compliant at all times

What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful People Assistant?

· Ability to work in a fast paced People environment
· Manufacturing experience would be advantageous, but not essential
· A proactive, positive approach to work with a true customer focus
· T he ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
· Exposure to Peoplesoft, Emp Centre or similar HR Systems would be advantageous
· Excellent all-round IT skills, including Advanced Microsoft Excel
· Experience of advising and supporting colleagues and managers with foundation level people queries (e.g. Absence / Pay / Conduct etc)
· An understanding of HR policies and practices
· Proactive approach to own continuous development
· Experience of implementing and improving administration processes
· Ability to act on own initiative
